An accomplished actor, singer-songwriter, dancer, choreographer, and professional dance instructor.
Delane’s dynamic performance styles blend deep dramatic discipline with expressive versatility. With over a decade of industry experience, he brings a commanding screen presence, emotional depth, and absolute authenticity to every character he portrays. As a powerful actor and versatile performer, he seamlessly connects his dramatic range with a uniquely distinctive, soulful vocal delivery—coupling his songwriting talent with a rare ability to paraphrase and reinvent melodies to completely make them his own. Now reintroducing his multi-faceted artistry, Delane is also grounded by a rich foundation in choreography and movement spanning Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Hip-Hop, and West African to create work that is both physically powerful and culturally textured.
Born in Sumter, South Carolina to Herbert and Ethel Vaughn, Delane Vaughn’s artistic journey began at just five years old, when a heartfelt rendering of the Everly Brothers’ “Dream, Dream, Dream” deeply moved his mother. Recognizing his spiritual and expressive gifts, her early dream was for him to become a minister or a priest—a path deeply rooted in his Catholic school education. In later years, DeLane beautifully fulfilled that calling, showing his mother how the stage and screen had become his pulpit, transforming his artistic work into a form of ministry.
Upon arriving in Hollywood, DeLane met and married the love of his life, Ruth—an accomplished writer and brilliant artistic force in her own right. When Ruth developed Alzheimer’s disease, DeLane made the profound choice to step away from his burgeoning career, dedicating himself entirely to her hands-on-care. Following her transition from this earth on January 28, 2025, DeLane is now channeling his profound life experience back into his craft.
Now reintroducing his elevated artistry to the industry, DeLane continues to bring passion, precision, and a commanding creative vision to every performance and production.
